Dr. Dhaval Thakkar

Dr. Thakkar received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Chicago, Illinois in 2005. He then moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During his senior year of dental school, he was honored to serve the veterans at the VA hospital in Togus, Maine. He graduated from dental school in 2009 and had an opportunity to help the underserved population in the south of Chicago for two years. He finally deiced to move to Texas in 2011 because he fell in love with the warm weather and warm-hearted people of Texas.

Dr. Thakkar has been practicing dentistry for over seven years and is committed to keeping up with the latest advances in modern dentistry. He completes many times the required number of continuing education hours every year. He genuinely believes every patient should be treated as one of his family members. He is passionate about dentistry and loves helping his patients improve their smiles and quality of life. Dr. Thakkar is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Texas Dental Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and son, Yash when he is away from doing dentistry.

Dr. Greene

Dr.Greene is a Orthodontist. He spent his childhood living all around the world until work brought my parents near Houston, TX, as I entered high school. From there, I attended Baylor University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology with Summa Cum Laude honors.

Following my graduation from Baylor, I attended The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where I studied general dentistry and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

My career in general dentistry spanned nearly a decade and included living on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Southern Utah and teaching dental students as a full-time faculty member of Roseman University in South Jordan, UT. As my career progressed, I became increasingly interested in how orthodontics can address the functional and esthetic needs of my patients. I completed my orthodontic residency in Henderson, NV.

I’m happy to be back in Texas near my family and friends. When I’m not working, my wife (who is a general dentist) and I enjoy spending time with our son, Dax, and playing and watching sports.

Dr. Smith

Dr. Leslie Smith to our team to help us serve your dental needs. Dr. Smith is a native Texan and joins our practice with a diverse training background that has led her to her calling and passion for Dentistry. She completed a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, working as an engineer for a few years in Houston before embarking on her journey to become a dentist. Prior to starting dental school, Dr. Smith completed a Master’s degree in Anatomical Sciences at UT Health San Antonio where her research focused on head and neck pain. Dr. Smith completed dental school and advanced residency training at University of Nebraska Medical Center where she gained experience in handling complex cases and cutting edge digital technology. Her skill set will allow us to expand services for you to include pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. 

When she’s not doing dentistry, Dr. Smith enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with her husband, Zack, who is a local pain physician. They have three rambunctious rescue kitties and hope to balance out their family with additional humans as they put down roots here in New Braunfels.
